Searching for valued research hypotheses:

The prime focus is laid upon how to choose an appropriate research design that can closely approximate the statement of the research hypothesis. Sometimes, we need to rephrase the statement of the research hypothesis, so that to make it more scientific in appearance and to make it testable.

Synchronizing research design with stated hypotheses:

While furnishing the research design, we need to carefully inspect that the choice of methodological tools, justify the needs of the data and the data instruments.

Creative anxiety and urge for academically valued research:

For beginners in research, we urge to differentiate among obsolete, contemporary, and forthcoming designs, so that the intellectual worth of the proposed research may early be evaluated. In order to do that effectively, we ​​have to rely heavily on key databases of academic literature such as the Jstor, Science Direct, Springer Link, Sage, etc. so that any research notion may strongly be grounded in literature.

Structure of the proposed research:

As research supervisors we have to make sure that the research notion is indigenous, and that the proposed work is not been affected by bounded rationality (too little knowledge). Special emphasis is laid upon how to structure the thesis into a detailed table of contents, how to conduct and write a review of literature, in a way so that the incidence of plagiarism may naturally be avoided.

Analytical needs, the data, and the choice of methodology:

How to make choices of the data collection methods among primary data collection in form of designing semi-structured or fully structured questionnaires, deciding about the selection of variables for specific analytical needs using databases of statistical information in a time series analysis, and how to pool the data. Keeping in view the orientation of research towards quantitative or qualitative research designs, we can supplement the use of packages such as Stata, SPSS, Minitab, and Nvivo.

Research reporting:

How to report findings and results, how to interpret results, and how to specify limitations of research.

Task management:

Managing, and scheduling research activities, using Gantt charts, etc.
